- Hiking: in Andalusia you can enjoy walking through the many hiking routes plotted in the natural parks (senderos). Certainly for the real hiking enthusiast is Andalusia the place to be: pleasant temperatures, sun, sea air and woodland. In the nearby area of Nerja, there are several hiking trails. There are hiking trails from Frigiliana, Cómpeta and the stalactite caves of Maro. However, we advise you to make use of GPS routes, good walking shoes, protective clothing and ensure adequate food and drinks are brought along.

- Wildlife park "La Peña Escrita (Almuñecar): this small wildlife park with bears, hippos, monkeys, wolves, zebra´s a white tiger etc. is set high in the mountains behind Almuñecar. You do not need a 4-wheel drive to get there but it is not recommended for people with vertigo. You can also enjoy hiking and beside the animals enjoy the spectacular view!

- Nature park "El Torcal" (Antequera): is known for its ancient rock formations. By erosion the rocks are modeled into striking shapes which is very special to see. There are three walking trails in the park, a visitor center and a souvenir shop. You will find many wild flowers such as lilies, peonies, rhododendrons and many orchid species. The park also has several caves. Definitely worth a visit!
